Short Sales

It seems like everywhere you turn today people are talking about short sales.  Who is doing one, a short sale they looked at to buy, short sales never work, short sales take forever --- you name it it is being talked about.  While we have seen a huge increase in short sales over the past few years, they are hardly a new process.  Banks have been doing them for years.   A short sale simply means that if you sell your home, the purchase price is less than the loan amount to pay it off.  Because the Bank will not be paid in full, they will need to "approve" the sale.  If you have an experienced agent, the process will be much smoother and quicker.  It is also imperative that the seller have all of their financial information in order and pass it along to their agent quickly.  We have been seeing some short sales get done in as little as 3 months!!  For sellers that use the property as a primary home--we also have avenues available to request funds from the government to help with relocating expenses.    If you need to sell and want to find out the the real facts behind short sales, give us a call-- we'd love to help.

What's Your Favorite?

I guess it depends on which team you were pulling last evening whether your night good or not. I’m not a huge football enthusiast but I do enjoy watching the commercials.  I’m still trying to wrap my head around the cost of a 30 second super bowl ad…$4 Million. Yikes!  Were they worth $4 Million dollars, who knows? But 2 of my favorites were the Doge and Budweiser commercials.

 I was moved by Dodge’s “God Made a Farmer” commercial.

And happy tears were shed with this one.

Happy Groundhog Day and super bowl Sunday!

By now Punxsutawney Phil should be ready for his debut tomorrow. We’re all ready for his prediction and most as most of us hope we will not see another 6 weeks of winter. The forecast for Punxsutawney, PA is cold, snowy and cloudy so chances are he won’t see a shadow and our next 6 weeks will be mild. One can only hope although I can’t complain about the weather here on Hilton Head.  The past few weekends have been beautiful. So I hope you all have a great Groundhog Day and a splendid super bowl Sunday.

Are you ready for some football? Personally I prefer watching my four-legged horse friends compete but I’m always up for some fun and fellowship. So whatever team you’re cheering for, let’s provide our friends with some yummy treats for our Super Bowl parties.

One of my loves is Pinterest! If you don’t know about it, it’s worth checking out. It’s a great way to house all of your favorite finds on the internet from recipes to fashion. There’s something for everyone. While browsing Pinterest, I found some interesting ideas for our Super Bowl party. Thought I would share these yummy treats with you.
