Magical Manners Class for kids.

The Bluffton Historical Preservation Society is doing more than just preserving and protecting the cultural heritage and history or our area. They are educating Bluffton’s youngest residents on the basics of etiquette. Here’s a great article from the Island Packet about the Bluffton Historical Preservation Society’s Magical Manners class.  Read the article.

Great home just came on the market in Windmill Harbour on Hilton Head.

Just previewed a fantastic home in Windmill Harbour and had to share it with you. This one just came on the market and probably will not last long. It’s a Charleston Style home with a lush entry making it very private. The details inside this home are exquisite all the way down to the wall color choices. It’s a great floor plan for anyone! And the best part about it is the price. It’s $449,000, which makes this home the least expensive in Windmill Harbour. This is one you’ll look back on next week and wish you had bought it. Call us today, we would love to share the information on this home with you. 843-681-5600.  Visit our Website

A trip to Honey Horn on Hilton Head Island

Over the past weekend, I had the opportunity to meet a beautiful mother and daughter duo at Honey Horn on Hilton Head. Bullet and her foal Honey Horn May are on loan to the Coastal Discovery Museum and are staying in the newly renovated barn at Honey Horn. The two are there to educate and promote the history of this once widely used breed. According to the South Carolina Marsh Tacky Association, there are now only 236 living marsh tackies in existence and as of June of this year, the breed became our state horse. If you have not visited Honey Horn, I strongly recommend you check it out. Pack a lunch and stay for a while. You won’t want to leave.

Great Sunday in the Lowcountry

In the search for something to entertain a 1 year old and a 5 year old on a Sunday afternoon, I came across Lowcountry Produce. I’m ashamed to say that although I’ve lived on Hilton Head for 35 years, I have never been to Lowcountry Produce. After visiting this quaint farm/country store, I realized that I had been missing out. We arrived yesterday to find a pumpkin patch, haystacks, hayrides, pony rides, barnyard animals, and the smells of the best hamburgers in the lowcountry. By the way, all of the kid’s activities are free, including the pony rides! The boys had a wonderful time exploring the property. I found myself in the country store; where you can also have a delightful lunch. They offer fresh local produce, homemade sauces, jellies, jams, breads, and pies to mention a few. On top of all of these treats, it’s a family owned and run business with exceptional hospitality. I can’t say enough good things about Lowcountry Produce. They’re located in Lobeco, SC, just outside of Beaufort. Here’s the link
