Get Your Home Ready For Spring ~ Inside and Out

It's been a great couple of weekends here in the Lowcountry. The sun is shining and the weather is warm. Spring is here and I'm thrilled! To get me out of the winter blahs, I have already started my garden, updated my potted plants on the porch, and moved on to the interior with Spring additions here and there. Here are a few suggestions to get your home ready for Spring.

1.  Update your front door with a fresh welcome mat and new plants. Don't neglect the windows around the front door and the door its self. It's a great time to make sure these are clean.

2.  Lighten up a room by changing out area rugs and throw pillows. Sometimes just moving rugs around makes you feel like you have something new. Light rugs always brighten up a room.

3.  Bring the outdoors inside. Everyone loves herbs in the spring and summer and they are so easy to grow. Why not try your own indoor herb garden or even a terrarium with suculants?

4.  I love fresh flowers everywhere. Not only do they provide a touch of color but they make the room smell wonderful.

5.  Sents are another way to bring Spring into the home.

6.  Spruce up outdoor dining table, chairs, and or seating by removing the pollen and washing the  coverings. In some cases, you may want to invest in new coverings.

Don't forget about your potted plants. This is a great way to bring in bright Spring colors around your home.
